MISSION BRIEF:
Hi there! I'm a fourth year undergraduate student currently studying Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. While born and raised in Ontario, Canada, I moved to Shanghai, China when I was 13 and attended high school at the Shanghai American School. In my spare time, I developed (no pun intended) a liking for programming; Computer Science courses were not offered for IB Diploma students, so I took to the internet to learn what I could.
MISSION OBJECTIVES:
- Complete Bachelor of Computer Science with Minor in Economics in 2019
- Maintain proficiency of C, C++, C#, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and Racket
- Participate in hackathons/code jams to learn new languages, create cool new things
- Acquire a job so as to not end up broke and homeless
This page layout was inspired by the loading screen from XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which uses randomly generated mission titles in which one adjective and one noun is picked from a list of awesome-sounding words to form one awesome-sounding operation. If you couldn't tell by the page layout, I am an avid gamer.
On top of my passion for video games, there lies a love for film, TV shows, music (whether it's playing, listening or even composing), as well as staying fit, hockey, fencing (the sport, not the act of installing fences) and of course, food of all varieties. I also like to occasionally partake in reading fine books, though they tend to be either heavily comedic or are for rather niche demographics.
