What has Kevin been up to?
Hi! I'm Kevin Xing, a software engineer that floats around San Francisco and Toronto.
I currently work at Augment building Augie, an AI assistant for logistics and supply chain businesses.
Whether it's for utility or entertainment, I'm crazy passionate about working on products that myself and others could really appreciate.
You can read more about me below or you can click on any of these buttons!
Augment
Senior Software Engineer
My current role! Building intelligent AI systems as part of the Text team that help shape how Augie, our flagship logistics assistant, interacts with logistics and supply chain businesses via chat, email, SMS, etc.
Flexport
Senior Software Engineer
Deliverr’s second acquisition (lucky us!), I created backend services on the Parcel and Crossdocks teams, helping enable faster fulfillment times for merchants who already had their own warehousing and inventory solutions by routing packages and selecting carriers more intelligently.
Shopify
Software Engineer, Shopify Logistics
Worked on the Delivery Experience team within Shopify Logistics, creating the backend systems that power the Shop Promise platform and the Shopify Fulfillment Network.
Deliverr
Software Engineer, Growth (2019-2021), Delivery Programs (2021-2022)
When I first joined I was about (we didn’t really keep count) the 12th engineer and we were in total only about 30 people. By the time we were acquired by Shopify in 2022, we were over 500 strong!

Vida Health
Software Engineer Intern, Infrastructure
At Vida, I built backend microservices that served recommendations about daily tasks users could do within the app to help progress them towards their health goals. As part of the Infrastructure team, I also built data pipelines and helped re-architect automated deployment pipelines and procedures.
Digital Extremes
Statistical Programmer
My first real-world exposure to data engineering, data analysis, and data science. I implemented data collection pipelines throughout various parts of their flagship game Warframe, analyzed player behavior data, and wrote a short paper on recommender systems and approaches the team could implement for improving engagement for their in-game store.
Autodesk
Software Developer Intern
At Autodesk I got to work on a team that was developing a proprietary JavaScript library that would be used as a common source of helpful functions and features for engineers throughout the entire company. I helped develop small features for this library, created demos for it, and implemented new features in a 3D printing web app with it.
It was fun playing with 3D printers!
BlackBerry
Software Developer
My first ever work experience! This was an internship at BlackBerry’s Toronto office which was primarily focused on research and development for products targeted at an enterprise audience.
I created a Slack bot integration that allowed users to share secure links to files hosted on WatchDox, BlackBerry’s cloud-based secure file-sharing service.
